I hope that everyone has enjoyed their summer break!  It gives me great honor and privilege to welcome each of you to the start of another exciting year at Edward E. Taylor Elementary School.  I look forward to working with such brilliant team members, students, parents, and community members. I am convinced that this school year will be exhilarating, challenging, and rewarding.

Technology integration, literacy, frequent assessments, and curriculum alignment will be the focus for this school year.  It is imperative that we have continued collaboration throughout all grade levels and content areas.  It is essential that we continue to provide the necessary rigor in our teaching. We are charged with moving our students to the Exemplary level.

Recognizing that change is inevitable if growth is going to occur, our family has grown. Join me in welcoming Ms. Joscelyn Speights – art, Kelvin Belin – Instructional Technology Specialist, Michael Spencer -Fourth Grade Teacher, and Ms. Meg Lanier – School Psychologist.   I am very eager to work with our new team this school year. 

As we embark upon another school year, we will continue to create a school environment in which learning is top priority.  It is my vision that every student at Edward E. Taylor Elementary School is successful.  As the beginning of the new school year approaches, I look forward to opening day, August 10th, which promises great excitement for the entire Edward E. Taylor Elementary school Family.This year’s theme is “DREAM, BELIEVE, INSPIRE”.
